Taking a Bus Conversion on a Ferry

Posted on:

One of the interesting (and sometimes scary) things about owning a very large vehicle, like a bus, is the question that always sits in the back of your mind: Will we fit in or under that? Usually, the question comes up when you are looking at bridge clearances. However, in this case, we were taking a ferry, I believe in North Carolina. We knew we would be able to fit, as there were semi-trucks all around waiting to board, but the first time you drive this huge vehicle onto this seemingly tiny floating parking lot is a little nerve wracking. The staff were all very nice and helpful and the ride was so much fun. The dogs could not leave the vehicle, but they had plenty of space to roam inside their home. I think, if I could, I would have turned the bus around and done another round trip just for fun.
