Welcome to our page on all the specific locations we have traveled, and posted about. This is not to be confused with our site map, these are the real geographical maps, points on the globe where we have been and would like to go.
We have been traveling to all parts of the United States and Canada since the early 1990’s. We eventually traveled full time in our self-converted Greyhound Bus in the 2000’s and made it to every state in the CONUS. We traveled more than 100,000 miles in our bus over that time period, and learned a lot!
In 2004 we made plans to move to the Auburn-Opelika area and concentrated on things here at home. But, with travel always on our minds, in 2022 We Bought a Ford Econoline E250 Van, named Loki, with intentions once again of building it out as a camper van and traveling the country. In 2025 we re-started our quest to “visit every state” with fresh eyes, but this time we would do a much better job at documenting our travels.
This page is an index of sorts to all the specific locations we have traveled to, and will travel to, starting new in early 2025. At the bottom we also have more specific locations state summit points, state capitals, and our travel bucket list, or wish list, and some other points of interest like murals and statues, just a few lists of cool places.
Sticker Maps
Have you seen those big maps of the United States on the sides of RV’s and campers? This is our online equivalent of that map, but with the expansion of other places, cities, events, and our wishlist (travel bucket list perhaps). Below you can click on the links to all the posts for each location below. As we add new locations we will add the links to the areas below. Of course we have real physical one too, which you can see above with Deborah and Edgar from when we were in the Florida Keys.
Our newest list is the Highest Point by State, which is also a goal for us, to take a photo of the summit sign of each state. We have made a pretty good list of the highest point in each state, we will see how difficult it is to get to each one. We also added a list of all the U.S. State Capitals and their buildings, I’m not sure we have ever been to all of those.
