MCI Conversion Interior Shell Build

Posted on:

The bus was looking so much better on the inside with all of the paneling up on the walls and the back area shell completed. Cleaning up was easier, too. Everything was slowly becoming new where before it was all old and nasty. It was a lot of work to get it to this point, but it was totally worth it.

In the photo below, you can see that the plywood has a long rectangle section. This was a “secret” compartment that we finished off. The inside of this compartment was about 6″ deep and we weren’t sure what it’s original purpose was, but we used it as storage.

The cabinets in the photo below were just the right height when stood upright to be used as temporary wardrobe and pantry storage while we continued to travel and work. We stood them up, screwed them to the walls and it started to look like a home to us.
