Putting Dagger Kayaks on the RoadTrek Van
One of our hobbies during the time we owned the RoadTrek and while we were working on the bus conversion was kayaking. We had two wonderful Dagger kayaks that we wanted to carry with us and this was the solution for the RoadTrek application. It worked out really well at the time.

RoadTrek Camping in the Florida Keys
Back in our younger days, we used to go in the water. HAHA. These are from a quick trip that we took to the Florida Keys. We stayed at either Bahia Honda or John Pennekamp State Park and enjoyed some fun, albeit cold snorkeling.

Arriving in Creede Colorado in the RoadTrek
My parents built a cabin in Creede, Colorado many years ago. The cabin was quite large and beautiful and the property it was on was about 2-3 acres. This property was large enough for them to park their class A motorhome and for us to park our RoadTrek (and eventually our bus) at the same…

Tailgating in the RoadTrek
In my last post I mentioned how we had come to rent a virtually abandoned country diner and used it as a base of operations for our business at the time. One of the main reasons we chose that particular building was that it was close to Auburn, Alabama, home of Auburn University. Most of…

Driving Through the Desert Land
I cannot remember where these photos were taken, except to say that they were shot somewhere in the southwest United States, most likely Nevada, or New Mexico. We were probably on our way to or from Las Vegas on this trip.

RoadTrek Trip to St Louis
Another spot we stopped to check out on our cross country travels in the RoadTrek was St. Louis, Missouri. We took a break from working long enough to check out The Gateway Arch and the surrounding river area. The arch was impressive and you can ride an elevator inside it for the view. We opted…

Beach Camping in the RoadTrek
One of the few times we pay for a campsite is when we want to be near the beach/ocean and have no real alternative available. This was one of those times. Judging from the sea grass in the photos, I believe these photos were taken in North or South Carolina. Not the most glamorous photo…

RoadTrek to Indianapolis
Indianapolis, IN would not be a city that would come to my mind right away as a place that I desperately wanted to go explore. However, as with all of our travels, it is always about the journey and the surprising things we encounter and discover along the way. We had a show to do…

The RoadTrek to Key West
Key West, Florida is one place that is very special to Scott and me. We have been there several times and, for us, it just feels so natural and like a second home. In June of 2000, we drove our RoadTrek Van to Key West and, I believe, it was the first time either of…

Visiting Cape Hatteras in It’s New Location
We love lighthouses! One of our favorites, of course, is the granddaddy of them all, Cape Hatteras. While we have visited this particular lighthouse many times, on this occasion, we were happy to see that it had been successfully moved to it’s new location. In 1999, the 4800 ton structure had been moved inland 2900…
