Today, we added a new member to the fleet: a 2011 Red Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Off Road PreRunner, which we’re currently calling “Red Taco.” This truck is a very welcome addition to our household, especially after dealing with a stretch of less-than-reliable vehicles, including a Saturn that seemed to be returning to nature and a convertible that refused to close properlyโparticularly when it rained.
The 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport PreRunner is known for its rugged off-road capability, reliability, and solid performance. This model comes equipped with a 4.0-liter V6 engine that produces 236 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, providing plenty of power for towing, off-road adventures, or just cruising around town. The TRD Sport package adds enhancements like upgraded suspension, sport-tuned shocks, and stylish exterior features like hood scoops and 17-inch alloy wheels, making it both a practical and good-looking truck.
This is our first truck since owning a Ford F-150 work truck back in North Carolina, which was one of our all-time favorite vehicles. Needless to say, we’re thrilled to have a Tacoma in the family now and excited to see where this truck will take us.
